You have to pay for a tracking number if you want those protection. This is the proof seller have really sent the package to your location. The buyer have to pay additional fees for a tracking number, not the seller.
EBay take 9% commission on the SHIPPING COST! If you pay via PayPal, they take another 3%! So, those two entities, well, they're actually one in the same, take 12% of the shipping cost. Someone has to pay that and it is you the customer who does.
